The Construction Clinic was created because too many homeowners begin building projects without somewhere independent to ask basic questions first. These sessions are part of our mission to help homeowners make better decisions before problems become expensive ones.
There is no requirement to use HXL Construction, join the Clinic or buy anything afterwards.

Eddie has spent years on site delivering extensions, loft conversions and full refurbishments for families across London. He answers the questions homeowners are often nervous to ask about money, quality, timing and what is reasonable to expect, calmly and in plain English.

Getting building advice as a homeowner
Can I ask a builder a question for free?
Yes. Ask a Builder is a free online session for homeowners. Register, send your question, and it will be answered live. You can also attend and simply listen.
What kind of building advice can I get?
Practical homeowner questions: whether a quote covers everything, how to compare builders, what a fair payment schedule looks like, how a variation should be priced, what to do about delays, and whether an issue is a snag or a defect.
Is this a sales pitch for building work?
No. Nobody will try to sell you a build. The Construction Clinic gives homeowners guidance and decision support; we are not a builder directory or referral service.
Do I have to show my name or speak?
No. You can submit your question in advance when you register and stay off camera throughout.
What if I cannot attend live?
Register anyway and send your question. We cover as many as we can, and you can pick up the free Construction Confidence Checklist in the meantime.
